My name is Dr. Margaret Forrest. I received my EdD in Educational Leadership, my MA in English and my BA in literature and education. Beginning as a high school English teacher, I transititioned to first-year writing courses at various colleges and universities around the Charlotte area. After Covid, I transitioned to student success at UNC-Charlotte overseeing academic success courses for students on academic probation. Developing and creating course content led to my interest in Learning, Design, and Technology.
“You can get help from teachers, but you are going to have to learn a lot by yourself, sitting alone in a room.”
-Dr. Suess
My long-term goal is to create an effective online classroom for students on academic probation. Short-term goals are improving online experiences for students, expanding my technology knowledge, and continuing to learn best practices for student success.
